Raleigh's new Fourth Ward District, focusing on the entertainment block in the south downtown area, is named to commemorate and honor the Fourth Ward neighbourhood, a Black community that was destroyed in the 1970s. In this episode, Autumn Smith talks with Haley Kinsler, a PhD student at NC State and a member of the Fourth Ward Oral History Project to highlight the history of the area and community effort to preserve the memory of Fourth Ward.

Before that, WKNC public affairs creator Sydney Semel provides a weekly news summary, highlighting Raleigh efforts to address homelessness and how NC State plans to combat climate change.
